Jimena Navarrete Miss Universe Pictures Are An Online Hit

Pictures of JIMENA NAVARRETE, aka, MISS UNIVERSE 2010 have become a big hit on the internet after the Mexican beauty stormed to victory in the beauty pageant at the Mandalay Bay Resort in Las Vegas on Monday 23rd August 2010. Images of Navarrete - who was a relatively unknown model before her win - have become extremely popular in recent days, and the new MISS UNIVERSE has garnered a huge amount of media interest. Navarrete fought off competition from 82 other contestants to take the crown at the lavish awards ceremony.

After making it through to the top-five along with entries from Australia, Jamaica, Ukraine, and Phillippines, Navarrete had to endure a tense wait before she was announced as the winner. The Jamaican YENDI PHILLIPPS came second, while19-year-old JESINTA CAMPBELL from Australia came third. As well as gaining the title of MISS UNIVERSE, Navarrete also receives a scholarship to the New York Film Academy.

This year's pageant - which is owned by DONALD TRUMP - was hosted by rock musician BRET MICHAELS and TV news personality NATALIE MORALES.
